Stop Depending on Others
Getting Unstuck, LLC
If you're like most people, you have probably entertained the idea of being fabulously wealthy--or at least having enough money to live comfortably. This is the American dream, thought of as being attainable by anyone, regardless of background. However, not that many people are able to achieve this dream, and it's not because it's impossible for them. Rather, it's because they've yet to learn a very important lesson: stop depending on others. You can't expect someone else to do all the work for you, so you must set forth to do the work yourself. This is the only way to truly achieve one's goals, not just financially, but emotionally, spiritually, physically etc.
What it Means to Accept Power of AttorneyYou're probably already familiar with the term "Power of Attorney". This is the legal means of assuming legal and financial responsibility in any particular matter. We all have this power to take control of our finances and legal decisions, but many of us either want it but do not take it, or simply do not want it at all. This is where the saying "God is not an errand boy", comes into play. Every decision we have in this world is governed by God. God gives us all the information we need in order to make an educated decision about anything in our lives. But God does not make the decision for us. We are a free-will people, and are thus responsible for our own decisions. We need to take ownership of our Power of Attorney.
How Do I Take Ownership? If you were to take control of Power of Attorney for someone else, you'd have to sign all kinds of legal documents. But the beauty of your own right to Power of Attorney is that all you must do is consciously say "I want to take control of my life". That's it. Once you say those words, the power is yours. Now all you must do is set forth and be ready for whatever comes your way.
I've Tried It and It Doesn't WorkYou might be saying "I've tried to take control of my responsibility, and yet I never progress further, so it must not work at all." It's not that you are completely unable to achieve what you want, but is probably that you have been going about it wrong. You may be expecting to have things handed to you on a silver platter, but that's not how it works. For every great job, for every pay raise, there is an effort to achieve it. That effort is something you are probably missing because you are unwilling to do it.
